About the Project

The UK Government has set ambitions to reduce emissions from aviation, including through the development of sustainable aviation fuel. Early-stage work on the Humber SAF Project has received support from the UK Government’s Advanced Fuels Fund.

The project is being assessed as a facility that could produce sustainable aviation fuel from methanol, which could be delivered to the site and converted to fuel.

The project is at an early stage. No final investment decision has been taken, and all aspects remain subject to ongoing assessment and may change. Pre‑FEED has been completed, providing an initial technical and cost basis for further assessment.

Site location

The proposed development site is within an established industrial area at the Able Humber Port.
